Did you know they are so named after Key West, Florida, thus key limes. For a key lime pie to be an authentic key lime pie many insist on only using limes from this region, though it's usually made with key lime juice. Either way, it's a nice treat for all. The smooth creaminess of the pie with the crumbly crust makes our mouths water. Some are topped with whip cream, but we prefer the stand alone. Mmm mm!
